Continuing to experiment with digital stencils for Crusade 19, I tried to come up with something mimicking Banksy stenciling. Here's what I came up with, the idea being that it looks like grafitti spray-painted on a wall.
To get the sprayed-on-a-wall look, I blurred the stencil image quite a bit, then went over it with a background-colored textured brush at extremely low flow. I think it's cool!

Suzanne - So you did this all digitally? I'm a Banksy fan too. Love his sense of humor. My favorite: POLITE LINE: DO NOT GET CROSS. *giggles*
Great digital stencil! I would be very happy indeed, to make a digital or real-life stencil such as this! :)
I'm trying to get inspired for Crusade #19 and am blog cruzin' tonight...I picked your page because of your last name! :-)

Way cool! You didn't have to hunch over a table with a buner - just crunch up in front o' your monitor
great image!
This is supah-dupah! I love it! I have found myself opting for digital collage over scissors and glue lately. I never thought of digital stencils. Hmmmm...
Awesome! I had no idea you could make something like this digitally....it's fantastic!!

Dear Suzanne, this is really beautiful :)
I love it, I really need to try this...if I could ever get my kids off of the computer long enough to dig in to photoshop.
hello Suzanne,
just another trick to try with photoshop ! Thanks and i'm gonna check out that banksy boy..;
greetings
Inge
If you hadn't told me this was done digitally, I'd never have known. I've been reading about how to alter a photo on Photoshop so you can cut a stencil, but it makes so much sense that you could imitate the stencil itself. So cool! I love what you've done here. You can count me as another Banksy fan.
